Sfumature blu - Maria Emanuela Fiori

Large poppies open across a yellow-green ground, their petals striped in blue, lilac and rose with crowns of yellow-green stamens at the centre. Closed buds hang from bristled stems, one still green and heavy, and fine hairs stand out along the stalks in orange and blue. Leaves push in from the edges in green and yellow.

Gouache on paper, laid on in flat washes with the outlines drawn in the same colours. Maria Emanuela Fiori is an Italian illustrator, born and living in Sardinia, who works in dense gouache and takes her forms from nature. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
