Tears of Gaia - Will Black

A large face in grey, black and ochre looks down from the upper right, the eyes heavy and closed and every feature drawn in thick black. Red teardrops outlined in white fall through the blue and dark brown below, and an ochre field with red trees lies at the upper left.

Painted in oils, the face built from broad grey strokes while each tear is set down as a single mark of red. Will Black paints in oils from Norwich and studied landscape architecture, human ecology and fine art at Central Saint Martins in London. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
