looks like a house - Priit Ruttas

A dense field of black pen lines covers a pale grey-lilac ground, crossing and recrossing until the surface is almost solid. Out of the hatching a house takes shape near the centre, a pitched roof over two upright walls, held together more by the weight of the marks around it than by any drawn outline.

Drawn in ink over a toned paper ground, with every line left as it was laid down and nothing taken back. Priit Ruttas draws to find new space, levels and dimensions in a picture, so that the eye keeps discovering something further each time it looks. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
