Red Tree - Marina Agre

A single tree stands in the middle of the picture, its round crown a dense crimson pink carried on a thin red trunk. Below it a broad band of dark navy and charcoal runs across the canvas as ground, and the rest is a pale cream-green surface scored with fine lines that cross behind the branches.

Painted in acrylic on a heavy textured ground, the crown pressed into the surface so the grain shows through the red. Marina Agre is a contemporary artist based in Poland who has painted landscapes, abstracts and still lifes since 1993. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
