The Bark King - Henrik Kock

A standing figure of bark, stone and moss fills the sheet, crowned with pale white twigs and looking out with two wide dark eyes. A spray of wildflowers opens at its chest, two small dark birds hover at either side, and a ruined tower sits in the earth at its base. Behind it a sepia zodiac chart turns against a pale ochre ground.

Built as a photographic montage, with layered photographs combined into one scene. Henrik Kock works by painting with photographs, manipulating and layering them in photo-editing software to build images that tell magical stories. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
